Lakewood proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 17) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Green Mountain Rams 10-8. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won six in a row.

Madison Reisbeck spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Addison Gallegos and Lucy Retzer did most of the damage at the plate: Gallegos got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Retzer got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases Retzer has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of NeVaeh Roybal, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Lakewood's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Green Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakewood will challenge Douglas County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Green Mountain, they will face off against Ralston Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
