Basketball Recap: Mercer Comes Up Short

Mercer lost against Wilmington back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mercer Mustangs were dealt a 71-34 defeat at the hands of the Wilmington Greyhounds. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-15.

Mercer's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Wilmington, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Mercer will host Kennedy Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wilmington, they will head out to square off against Reynolds at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
