It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Aztec ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Bloomfield Bobcats 2-1. The game was the first time Aztec have beaten Bloomfield on their pitch since October 11, 2022.

Destri Hudman was the driving force of Aztec's attack as she scored both of Aztec's goals, bringing her season total up to seven goals.

The victory got Aztec back to even at 5-5. As for Bloomfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aztec will face off against Los Lunas at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Lunas will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Aztec surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bloomfield, they will square off against Gallup at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bloomfield will be up against Gallup's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.58 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
