Basketball Recap: Slippery Rock's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Slippery Rock extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Madison Romanovich. The Slippery Rock Rockets managed a 54-48 victory over the Moniteau Warriors on Thursday thanks in part to Romanovich, who posted 24 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Moniteau lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sophia Fleeger, who earned 11 points and six assists. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Thompson, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 16 points.

Slippery Rock has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Moniteau, their record now sits at 6-13.

Slippery Rock didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-49 win against Sharon on the 3rd. As for Moniteau, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-36 victory against Clarion Area on the 1st.
