Midtown has gone a perfect 8-0 against Jackson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Midtown Knights will head out to challenge the Jackson Jaguars at 8:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Midtown needed a bit of extra time to put away Forest Park. They had just enough and edged out the Panthers 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Panthers are ranked 65th).

Meanwhile, Jackson earned a 4-2 victory over Drew on Wednesday. That two goal margin sets a new team best for the Jaguars this season.

The win made it two in a row for Midtown and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for Jackson, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Midtown beat Jackson 2-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Midtown since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
