Baseball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss

Mount Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Paideia Pythons. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pythons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Mount Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Paideia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Mount Vernon will venture away from home to challenge South Cobb at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. Mount Vernon is facing South Cobb at the right time seeing as South Cobb is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Paideia, they are taking a road trip to square off against Wesleyan at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
