Soccer Game Preview: Tulare Union vs. Granite Hills

The Tulare Union The Tribe will take on the Granite Hills Grizzlies in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tulare Union will be strutting in after a victory while Granite Hills will be coming in after a loss.

Tulare Union took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 5-2 margin over Golden West. Considering the The Tribe have won four contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Granite Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Porterville. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 600th, while the Panthers are ranked 185th).

Tulare Union is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five matches. As for Granite Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1.
