Softball Recap: Community Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Community's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Northeast Bearcats on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 5-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Community's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Northeast, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Community will be playing at home against Slater at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.4 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Northeast, they will head out on the road to face off against North Shelby at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
