Maple Mountain has gone a perfect 10-0 against Springville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. It was a Battle of the Birds when Maple Mountain took on Timpview on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles' defense stepped up to hand the Thunderbirds a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Maple Mountain were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Corbin Gardner, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Springville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Cedar Valley. That's two games in a row now that Springville have lost by exactly two goals.

Maple Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Springville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Everything went Maple Mountain's way against Springville in their previous matchup back in March, as Maple Mountain made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
