Soccer Game Preview: American Canyon vs. Petaluma

American Canyon is 0-10 against Petaluma since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The American Canyon Wolves will face off against the Petaluma Trojans at 6:00 p.m. American Canyon will be strutting in after a win while Petaluma will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row, American Canyon turned things around against Napa on Saturday. They skirted past the Grizzlies 2-1.

Meanwhile, Petaluma came up short against Casa Grande on Monday, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Gauchos are ranked 162nd).

Natalia Efhan and Adrienne Skye scored both of Petaluma's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

American Canyon's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-11-1. As for Petaluma, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-3.

American Canyon might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Petaluma when the teams last played back in January. Can American Canyon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
