Softball Recap: Dewey Beats Adair for Their Third Straight Win

Dewey had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Adair Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-2 last Thursday.

Kyla Overton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Londyn Bond, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Dewey hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 16 consecutive contests.

Dewey didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-1 victory against Broken Arrow on the 11th. As for Adair, they have also already played their next game, a 6-2 win against Colcord on the 11th.
