Baseball Recap: Northview's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Druid Hills, Northview was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the North Springs Spartans by a score of 7-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ryan DiSano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Northview is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 0-9 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bryant Gamble, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Jack Pierson was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Northview's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for North Springs, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Northview will have a chance to go back-to-back against North Springs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
