Basketball Recap: Angie Bhatia's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Livermore over Vintage

After flying high against Redwood Christian last Friday, Livermore came back down to earth. The contest between the Livermore Cowboys and the Vintage Crushers didn't end well, with the Livermore Cowboys falling 49-35.

Several Cowboys players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Angie Bhatia, who posted eight points. Sofia Mahmood was another key player, putting up nine points.

Vintage found their leader in freshman Ashley Gerenser, who put up eight points along with seven boards and three steals. Gerenser has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Livermore's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Vintage, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-8.

Livermore didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-19 win against Ygnacio Valley on the 30th. As for Vintage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-36 victory against Marin Academy on the 30th.
