Softball Recap: Tri-Cities Takes a Loss

Tri-Cities dropped to 4-2 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They lost 21-7 to the Lakeside Vikings. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to the Vikings when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kimani Myers made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Jkoi Morgan, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

As for Lakeside, their win bumped their record up to 3-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by 12 runs or more this season.

On Lakeside's side, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucy Cowden, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Tammyn Martin was another, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Coming up, Tri-Cities will venture away from home to challenge Woodward Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakeside, they will square off against Mount Vernon at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
