Basketball Game Preview: Southwest EC Eagles vs. Brawley Wildcats

Southwest EC is 1-9 against Brawley since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Eagles are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m.

Southwest EC will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Brawley, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles strolled past the Wildcats with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 48-30. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Ivanna Cota had an outrageously good game as she posted 28 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlene Melero, who earned four points along with 14 rebounds and three steals.

Southwest EC's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Brawley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Southwest EC strolled past Brawley in their previous meeting on Monday by a score of 48-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
