Soccer Game Preview: Meadowcreek vs. Berkmar

The Meadowcreek Mustangs will face off against the Berkmar Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Meadowcreek fought the good fight in their overtime match against Norcross on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 4-3. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Blue Devils are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, Berkmar didn't have quite enough to beat Peachtree Ridge on Friday and fell 2-1. The Patriots have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Berkmar's goal came courtesy of Kevin Contreras, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meadowcreek dropped their record down to 5-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Berkmar, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
