Basketball Game Preview: East Nicolaus Spartans vs. Durham Trojans

East Nicolaus and Durham are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

East Nicolaus is headed into Friday's match hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They lost to Trinity on the road by a 64-49 margin last Saturday.

Despite the loss, East Nicolaus got top-tier performance from Makinze Massey, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Rylee Gillespie, who had nine points.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Durham's good fortune finally ran out last Saturday. They fell just short of Fortuna by a score of 42-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since February 6th.

Durham's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for East Nicolaus, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.

East Nicolaus was able to grind out a solid win over Durham in their previous meeting back in January, winning 46-35. Does East Nicolaus have another victory up their sleeve, or will Durham turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
