Soccer Game Preview: Rocky River vs. North

The Rocky River Pirates will take on the North Vikings in a tournament on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

North better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Rocky River's game on Wednesday is any indication, that's when Rocky River really gets things going. The Pirates blew past Tallmadge 4-1. The win was nothing new for Rocky River as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, North kept a clean sheet against Nordonia on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Knights. Given North's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Nordonia are ranked 336th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rocky River's victory bumped their record up to 11-6-1. As for North, their win bumped their record up to 11-2-4.
