Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask El Capitan). They claimed a resounding 90-10 victory over the Buhach Colony Thunder. The Gauchos have beaten the Thunder the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Thunder has come to flipping the script.

Shantelle Magana was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 42 points, ten boards, and ten steals. Those 42 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madysen Dietz, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 steals.

El Capitan pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.4 points over those games. As for Buhach Colony, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season.

El Capitan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-47 victory against Atwater on the 6th. As for Buhach Colony, they have also already played their next matchup, a 56-7 loss against Merced on the 6th.
