Sheldon entered their tilt with South Eugene on Saturday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They put the hurt on the Axe with a sharp 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Irish, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Sheldon's victory bumped their record up to 12-5-1. As for South Eugene, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Sheldon will challenge Roseburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Eugene, they will face off against Mountainside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
