Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kennedy Klueger and Lauren Fitzgibbon Lead Homestead to Victory

Homestead won the last time they faced Whitefish Bay and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Highlanders put the hurt on the Blue Dukes with a sharp 3-0 win.

Homestead was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-21.

Leading Homestead to victory were Lauren Fitzgibbon and Kennedy Klueger. Fitzgibbon had nine digs and three aces, while Klueger had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Fitzgibbon has posted over her last six matches.

They weren't the only good servers: Homestead was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive contests.

Homestead has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season. As for Whitefish Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 11-20.

Coming up, Homestead will be playing at home against West Bend East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Whitefish Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
