Softball Recap: Windsor's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Windsor couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holy Family Tigers on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-0 loss on October 9th.

Kylie Smith made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Breckyn Billadeau, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

With the defeat, Windsor broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 26-3. As for Holy Family, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Windsor nor Holy Family have any future games scheduled.
