Basketball Recap: Tianna Lowe's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Enterprise over Shasta

Enterprise lost against Shasta two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Enterprise Hornets took a hard 64-47 fall against the Shasta Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while the Wolves are ranked 64th).

Enterprise lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tianna Lowe, who posted nine points along with seven boards and three steals. Lowe has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Jadyn Blackwell was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Shasta's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bria Tate, who put up ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Rosales, who had ten points.

Enterprise has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Shasta, their record now sits at 7-1.

Enterprise will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Las Plumas at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Las Plumas has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Shasta, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Red Bluff at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Shasta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season.
