Basketball Game Preview: Glendale Vikings vs. Northern Cambria Colts

The Glendale Vikings are taking a road trip to face off against the Northern Cambria Colts at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Glendale is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Williamsburg just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. The match between them and the Blue Pirates didn't end well, with Glendale falling 58-41. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 482nd, while the Blue Pirates are ranked 118th).

Glendale's loss came about despite a quality game from Madison Peterson, who posted 23 points. The game was Peterson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brielle Mcmillen, who had nine points.

Meanwhile, Northern Cambria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They were dealt a 52-16 loss at the hands of Conemaugh Township. The Colts were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-7.

Glendale's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8. As for Northern Cambria, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.
