Recap: South Allegheny Gladiators vs. Trinity Christian Falcons
The South Allegheny Gladiators had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 49-37 victory over Trinity Christian. That's another feather in the cap for South Allegheny, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
South Allegheny's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabi Jackson, who scored 20 points. Emily Beaumont was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds.
South Allegheny's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Trinity Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
South Allegheny will face off against Cheswick Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Trinity Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Neighborhood Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
