Football Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Columbus can now relate to. They were beaten by the Hayden Wildcats 70-7 on Friday. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 63-7.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jayden Dohle, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hayden, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Columbus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hayden, they will take on Wellsville on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 14.6 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
