Softball Recap: Cherokee Bluff Comes Up Short

Cherokee Bluff couldn't beat Jefferson on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Bears fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 5-4. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dragons earlier this season, when they won 9-1.

Cherokee Bluff's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for Jefferson, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Cherokee Bluff and Jefferson should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Bears will face off against East Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (47 vs. 244). Meanwhile, Jefferson (ranked 25th) will meet Mountain View (ranked 220th) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
