Soccer Game Preview: Point Pleasant vs. Nitro

The Point Pleasant Big Blacks will square off against the Nitro Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Point Pleasant is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Buffalo get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what Point Pleasant needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Nitro took on Capital on Tuesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Cougars. The result was nothing new for Nitro, who have now won seven matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Capital with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Camryn Phillips (2), Kendra Steele, Sophie Lawson, and Bayleigh Elkins.

The victory made it two in a row for Nitro and bumps their season record up to 10-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those two matchups. As for Point Pleasant, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.
