You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Metamora's strategy against Canton on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Redbirds blew the Little Giants out of the water with a 61-16 final score. The victory continues a trend for the Redbirds in their matchups with the Little Giants: they've now won four in a row.

Metamora's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaiduan Cranford led the charge by rushing for 130 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Cranford a new career-high. Another receiver making a difference was Brayden Bitner, who picked up 161 receiving yards and three TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Metamora was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 326 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Metamora's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Canton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.
