Columbus and Sonoraville squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Columbus had to settle for second. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Phoenix. The Blue Devils' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Axel Serra was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Spivey, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Sonoraville, they moved to 10-22 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Columbus nor the Phoenix have any future games scheduled.
