Wise is a perfect 8-0 against DuVal since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pumas will venture away from home to square off against the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. Wise's defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so DuVal's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Wise's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Bowie, posting a 50-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Pumas' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 121st).

Wise got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kameron Parker out in front who rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also picked up 56 receiving yards. Eric Wedge Iii was another key signal caller, throwing for 128 yards and four TDs.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Wise's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when DuVal duked it out with Flowers on Saturday. The Tigers came up short against the Jaguars, falling 35-13. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

DuVal's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Wise, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Wise against DuVal when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 61-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pumas since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
