Softball Recap: Oilton Victorious

Oilton hadn't done well against Depew recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Hornets a 6-0 shutout. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 8-3 win the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Oilton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-1-1. As for Depew, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Oilton has already played their next matchup, a 6-4 win against Luther on the 16th. Hopefully Depew paid attention to the Panthers' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Panthers on Monday.
