Basketball Recap: Fairmont Prep Falls Short Against Ranked Etiwanda

On Thursday, Fairmont Prep faced Etiwanda in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Fairmont Prep Huskies lost 90-67 to the Etiwanda Eagles. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Fairmont Prep still got an impressive performance from Adyra Rajan, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and five rebounds. Rajan's evening made it 11 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Aldeguer, who posted 15 points and seven boards.

Fairmont Prep's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6. As for Etiwanda, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Fairmont Prep has already played their next match, a 68-34 win against Pacifica Christian on the 18th. As for Etiwanda, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-15 victory against Upland on the 17th.
