The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Cloud Cathedral, who took down 123rd ranked St. Cloud Cathedral, 35-28.
Foley moved up to 150 from 189 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Granite Ridge. The Falcons climbed the ranks as a result of a 30-13 win over Zimmerman.
The Thunder's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cam Korlath threw for 213 and one touchdown and Trey Gabrielson had 101 yards receiving. On the ground Collin Ashley chipped in 81 yards. Ashley helped Zimmerman's passing attack out by catching four balls for 50 yards.
Cory Jopp made the biggest impact on defense this week as Zimmerman lost to Foley. The 5-foot-10 senior racked up 0.5 sack.
5-foot-9 quarterback Korlath of Tom Kish's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 620. He has also thrown five touchdowns. On the ground, Albany's Scott Litchy has rushed for 633 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Derek Graves. The Mora star has 11 catches for 208 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Princeton takes on the Huskies. At the moment, the Tigers are in third, while Albany is in fifth.
Becker extended the longest winning streak in Granite Ridge this week by beating Mike Kleinschmidt's team, 28-22. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
