Softball Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for Eagle Grove

While Eagle Grove's victory against Lake Mills wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles won by a run and slipped past the Bulldogs 6-5. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Eagle Grove pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Lake Mills, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Eagle Grove didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-6 loss against Mason City on the 28th. As for Lake Mills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 17-4 defeat against Garner-Hayfield/Ventura on the 27th.
