Soccer Game Preview: Brantley County vs. Thomasville

The Brantley County Herons will square off against the Thomasville Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brantley County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Brantley County came up short against Fitzgerald on Friday, falling 10-1. While losing is never fun, the Herons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 377th, while the Purple Hurricane are ranked 170th).

Brantley County's goal came courtesy of Jesus Rios, who's now up to four this season.

Despite a strong season so far, Thomasville has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Jeff Davis.

Thomasville's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Brantley County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
