Basketball Game Preview: Justin-Siena Braves vs. Pinole Valley Spartans

The Justin-Siena Braves will face off against the Pinole Valley Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Justin-Siena is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 17 games.

Last Saturday, Justin-Siena made easy work of American Canyon and carried off a 62-39 victory. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Jordan WASHINGTON continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Justin-Siena's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Zapolski, who went 5-for-9 on her way to 11 points and seven assists.

Justin-Siena was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as American Canyon only posted four assists.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Pinole Valley had no trouble coming through when it counted. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 60-59 win over Lick-Wilmerding. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Pinole Valley's win bumped their record up to 19-11. As for Justin-Siena, their victory bumped their record up to 25-2.
