Football Recap: Moorhead Comes Up Short

Moorhead extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-4. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 29-27 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Michael-Albertville Knights. The Spuds were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in September of 2016.

As for St. Michael-Albertville, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-5 record. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

St. Michael-Albertville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Haring led the charge by throwing for 152 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 32 yards and one score. Wyatt Mosher was another key rusher, rushing for 154 yards.

Moorhead wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 51-44 win against Edina on the 15th. As for St. Michael-Albertville, they have also already played their next game, a 48-12 victory against Hopkins on the 15th.
