Recap: Shade Panthers vs. Forbes Road
This season hasn't been kind to the Shade Panthers, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They took a hard 59-41 fall against Forbes Road on Wednesday. Shade lost against Forbes Road in their previous head to head two weeks ago, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-37 score last time.
Forbes Road got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ginnah Kendall out in front who scored 22 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Kendall has scored at least 25% of Forbes Road's points. Emma Skiles was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.
Shade bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Forbes Road, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Shade will be playing in front of their home fans against Windber at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Windber focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Thursday. Forbes Road won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against McConnellsburg at 7:30 a.m. on January 4th. McConnellsburg is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
