Basketball Recap: San Luis Sidewinders vs. Copper Canyon Aztecs
On Friday, the San Luis Sidewinders made easy work of the Copper Canyon Aztecs and carried off a 32-11 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sidewinders.
San Luis had a senior duo take command as Regina Meza went 5 for 6 en route to 13 points plus three steals and Vanessa Ambriz scored 12 points plus three steals.
San Luis' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Copper Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
San Luis will stay at home for another game and welcome Calipatria at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Copper Canyon, they will take on Tucson High Magnet School in a tournament on Friday.
