Basketball Recap: Wyomissing Spartans vs. Kutztown Cougars
The Wyomissing Spartans put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Kutztown with points to spare, taking the game 40-22. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Wyomissing has scored all season.
Wyomissing got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Amaya Stewart out in front who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Hurleman, who scored nine points.
Wyomissing pushed their record up to 19-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Kutztown, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Wyomissing won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Bullets at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Brandywine Heights Area: 29.9, the Spartans: 25.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Kutztown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
