Softball Recap: Dodge County Has No Trouble Against Northeast

Dodge County won the last time they faced Northeast and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Indians blew past the Raiders 15-2. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won six matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Dodge County got a big performance out of Kady Peterson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits Peterson has posted since back in September of 2024. Aubrey Cole was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Dodge County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .720. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Dodge County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Northeast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Dodge County beat the Raiders by a score of 13-0 later that day.
