Soccer Recap: Decatur Beats Chamblee for Their Third Straight Win

Decatur entered their tilt with Chamblee on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They beat Chamblee by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. This was payback for Decatur, who suffered a 5-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Tyler Seim and Ignacio Palmieri scored both of Decatur's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Decatur pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four matchups. As for Chamblee, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Decatur will challenge rival Shiloh at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chamblee is set to take on their familiar foe Tri-Cities at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
