Baseball Recap: Northview Comes Up Short

Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 8-5 to the Johns Creek Gladiators. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing 5-1 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Logan Brown was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Daniel Tompkins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Graham Forney, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Northview's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Johns Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northview will welcome Norcross at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Johns Creek, they will square off against North Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
