Softball Recap: West Limestone Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Limestone can now relate to. They fell just short of the Orange Beach Makos by a score of 2-0 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since May 7, 2025.

West Limestone's defeat dropped their record down to 34-4-1. As for Orange Beach, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 43-1.

West Limestone wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Hamilton on the 18th. As for Orange Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-0 win against American Christian Academy on the 18th.
