Baseball Recap: Southeast Whitfield County Comes Up Short

Southeast Whitfield County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They lost 21-1 to the Cedartown Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Tuesday.

Southeast Whitfield County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Hampton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Southeast Whitfield County's loss dropped their record down to 4-25. As for Cedartown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-16.

While Southeast Whitfield County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
