Glasgow and Sturgeon are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2018, but likely not for long. The Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to square off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glasgow is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.

Sturgeon's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Glasgow hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Everything went the Yellowjackets' way against Brunswick on Tuesday as they made off with a 13-0 win. The Yellowjackets have beaten the Wildcats the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Brenna Adams, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Fuemmeler, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Glasgow kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Sturgeon suffered their biggest defeat since October 16, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Canton, falling 11-1. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Bulldogs' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Sturgeon's loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1. As for Glasgow, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Glasgow took their win against Sturgeon in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
