Softball Recap: Ponca Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Ponca's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Pierce Bluejays on Saturday. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bluejays earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Ponca has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Pierce, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-16.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ponca will face off against rival NEN at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pierce is set to square off against their familiar foe Tekamah-Herman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
