It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Cuba City ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Boscobel Bulldogs 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Cubans: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in April, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Cuba City's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12. As for Boscobel, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cuba City will welcome Viroqua at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blackhawks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Cubans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Boscobel, they will face off against De Soto at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
