Basketball Game Preview: South Gate Rams vs. Bell Eagles

The South Gate Rams will face off against the Bell Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Gate has given up an average of 59.7 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Back in December of 2025, South Gate was beaten by Marshall 74-36.

Meanwhile, Bell hadn't done well against Marshall recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Eagles snuck past the Barristers with a 35-30 win.

Bell's win came from a few key players that South Gate will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Amy Garcia, who posted eight points. Hailey Serrano was another key player, putting up 11 points.

The victory got Bell back to even at 6-6. As for South Gate, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

South Gate couldn't quite finish off Bell when the teams last played back in February of 2025 and fell 33-30. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
